FOIL is a program designed for design and analysis of two-dimensional Air and Hydro Foils. The FOIL shape is the Aero or hydrodynamic shape that runs chord wise fore and aft across the keel or rudder span. FOIL was created to design 2D FOIL shapes such as the standard NACA 0012 or NACA63010. The analysis code of FOIL is based on the code of Dr. Richard Eppler during his tenure at NASA.
