B-Plates is a flat plate development program that is designed to read PROLINES design hull shapes directly. Using NURB mathematics to generate flat plates along chine lines on the hull or at uniformly distributed spacing makes it possible to transform round hulled sailboat designs to plated chine hull designs. Currently B-PLATES is only designed to generate longitudinal plates and cannot develop warped plates, stretched plates, or vertical plates.
